Abstract:

Bayesian Networks are a powerful and popular Artificial Intelligence technology for probabilistic reasoning under uncertainty. In this seminar, I will give an introduction to Bayesian networks, together with demonstrations of applications I have worked on: the Monash Bayesian poker player, computer games for decimals tutoring, weather forecasting, and environmental and medical risk assessment.
