Mathematical Sciences Postgraduate Studies

Expression of Interest (EOI) for Postgraduate Candidature and/or Scholarship

As a prospective PhD or Master's by research candidate you will need to have received a 'invitation to apply' email from the School of Mathematical Sciences to apply for candidature and/or scholarship. This can be obtained from the Director of Postgraduate Studies through a potential supervisor or by submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) form. If you have not contacted a potential supervisor and are not familiar with the members of the School of Mathematical Sciences, it is recommended that you submit an Expression of Interest.

The link to the form is provided at the bottom of the page.*

Identify a research supervisor/s

Having supervision is integral to the application process and an ‘invitation to apply' cannot be provided without a prospective supervisor agreeing to act as a supervisor.

Please refer to the School of Mathematical Sciences Research Supervisor Matrix

You will be required to provide the name of at least one supervisor you wish to supervise your research project in the EOI form.

All postgraduate research students at Monash University are however supervised by at least two supervisors.

Invitation to Apply

Prospective students are only able to apply online only once they have received an ‘invitation to apply' from the School of Mathematical Sciences.

An ‘invitation to apply’ will be issued by the Director of Postgraduate Studies via email.

Please note that ‘an invitation to apply' is NOT a guarantee that an offer of candidature nor scholarship will be made.
