Here is a list of some odds and end worth looking at for the animated characters and effects they utilize. Many of them will be available at your local video library, others are available for inter-campus loan at the Monash library.

• Neon Genesis - Evangelion Anime series (this was screened on SBS TV in 1999 and is available on Siren video)
  
  
• The Matrix Feature film with Keanu Reaves and lots of stylish camera and computer effects. (The effects outshine the acting but its a 'visual feast' as a consequence!) See this at the Astor or on DVD/video.
  
  
• 2001 - A Space Odyssey, Stanley Kubrick film based on a story by Arthur C Clarke.
  This film is a marvel! See it at the Astor Cinema on the big screen (check their calendar for screening dates) Awesome.
  
  
• Metropolis by Fritz Lang
  An old black and white movie capable of teaching much to the student of film. Clayton 791.437 M594
