Peer-assessment
(hurdle requirement)
- Peer-assessment login 1 is online
around the eigth week of semester.
- Peer-assessment retrieval 1 is online
indefinitely after peer-assessment 1 is complete.
- Peer-assessment login 2 is online around the thirteenth
(last) week of semester.
- Peer-assessment retrieval 2 is online
indefinitely after peer-assessment 2 is complete.
- Students will, on two occassions, be required to assess a set of randomly
selected web pages made by classmates using the above peer-assessment systems.
- This task is a compulsory hurdle requirement for every student in the unit.
- This task must be completed during the weeks indicated in the lecture
timetable and on the course outline.
- The task will need to be completed either from a home computer connected
to the Internet, or on a university computer.
- Failure to complete this hurdle requirement in a satisfactory manner will
result in a fail grade for this unit (see the course
outline).

Groups
- Assignments are to be carried out in groups of exactly four students.
- Students should register groups of four
online before the date specified on the course
outline.
- You can convert your group members' names into (Monash) email
addresses or you can check your group's
AUTHCATE email usernames directly.
- Groups may not be changed once they have been allocated.
- Each student in a group will be allocated the same mark for their assignments.
It is up to you to ensure that everyone in your group contributes equally.
You are encouraged to meet regularly (at least once per week) to discuss
your
group's progress. You might even take minutes of your meetings so that there
is written agreement about what each group member will do before the next
meeting.
- Each group must select one member to be the host student. The host
student is responsible for placing the group's web site in his or her web
directory.
The host student must create an assignment splash page for the group
using the provided template.
