LabVIEW
These are instructions to use LabVIEW SignalExpress for data acquisition with a USB-6210.
1. Open LabVIEW SignalExpress for DAQ
2. Locate the 'Add Step' tool bar on the left-hand side of the screen.
3. Select 'Acquire Signals > DAQmx Acquire > Analog Input > Voltage'
4. Select physical channels. Using the USB-6210, there will be 16 channels: 0-15 automatically selected. (Click OK.)
5. A box will open under 'Project' with the label, 'DAQmx Acquire: Analog Input'.
6. Select 'Recording Options' from the middle panel. Click on the checkbox next to 'Record'. To select which channels you want to record, select 'Recording Options > Signal Selection'. I never see anything in 'Data View'...don't know why.
7. Once the DAQ is connected, you should see it in the bottom panel: Dev 1 (USB-6210).
8. If everything is set up correctly, the record button (at the top) should change to 'Record While Running'. Hit 'Run' to take data. Hit 'Stop' when you are done. If you are testing with a function generator, split the BNC cable to Analog input channels 17 and 18.
9. The measurement(s) will appear at the bottom-left under 'Logs' marked by the date of the measurement. Click on the date, then on 'Voltage', and the recorded channels will be displayed.
