"Starting to think that all the world's major problems can be solved with either oyster sauce or backing vocals" from Brian Eno's Diary.
A genuine polygot, eccentric, grumbler (in his own words), Eno seems to have an (often uninformed) opinion on almost everything. Behind all these opinions lies the occasional good and sometimes even great idea.
My favorite story of his, "Duchamp's Fountain" about his encounter with Duchamp's legendary urinal: "I've always wanted to urinate on that piece of art, to leave my small mark on art history"...his successful attempt to do this is a treat to read.
