  • is a prerequisite for CSE455 Learning and Prediction II: (semester 2) -- in years when that module is given

  • is 3 points, only 12 to 13 hours of lectures, 2× prac's and exam', so it cannot cover a great deal of material

  • includes some general material but with a research focus (like most CSE4xx subjects) and

  • pays special attention to Minimum Message Length (MML) methods.
