Pedreira do Cazeca

Magma extraction dyke cutting across diatexites after Camboriu Complex rocks. Two pegmatites mark the irregular dyke margins in the lower end but not further up (arrows mark the boundaries). Blocks of amphibolite vary from rounded to angular. Matrix is more mafic than that of the magmat in the surrounding diatexite. Interpretation: accumulation of solids after melt has been filter pressed out of the dyke. |

Point 10 Taquaras do Sul
|
Extraction dyke of Itapema granite through the anatectic Camboriu complex intruded by a younger, fine-grained, homogeneous grey granite. The matrix of the extraction dyke is a leucogranite with peritectic Hbl and blocks of amphibolite. It cuts across the Camboriu migmatite complex. Looking W. |
