Outcrop NE39 -9.92312 -37.66542 Sitios Novos granite close to the boundary between the Poco Redondo Domain and the Macurure Domain.
This outcrop shows a granodiorite with an enclave swarm intruded by multiple pulses of granite while the granodiorite was still a mush.
This is how a multi-pulse pluton grows. Different magma intrusions have different magmatic foliations, generally paralle to the margin of the
intrusive sheet.

Figure 1b) Mafic enclaves defining the main magmatic foliation in the granite, cut by granites at high angle. In the one on
the right phenocrysts have been reoriented to be parallel with the external foliation defined by the enclaves outside the dyke. The middle dyke
has internal schlieren parallel to the dyke margins. Dykes to the left (not shown here) have phenocrysts parallel to dyke margin at high
angle to the dominant foliation and can be seen on Fig. 1c.

Figure 1d) Composite granite dyke, one half of it has sheared enclaves parallel to the dyke margin at high angle to the
external foliation defined by the enclaves.

Figure 1g) Dyke dragging the tips of enclaves in the upper part of the surrounding magma. The dyke has heterogeneous distribution
of phenocrysts. Note the small mafic enclaves, possibly dragged out of the mafic enclaves in the surroundings.

Outcrop NE38, Pocos Novos -9.83386 -37.67152
NE38 shows a migmatite with several leucosome dykes intruding systematically parallel to the
axial plane of folds, or along shear planes. One of them, parallel containing kinematic indicators of sinistral sense, seems to be
destroyed by dextral dragging still as a mush within the flow of a cross-cutting dyke, trending 320.

NE18 Outcrop in Pedras -8.50428 -36.94853 581 m
This is a relatively homogeneous Bt granite with few Kfs megacrysts up to 8 cm in length\, widely spaced.
Fold defined by magmatic foliation identified by schlieren.
|
Late pegmatitic segregation, irregular, convoluted margins.
|
Same as previous but pegmatite is truncated by another granite pulse, that would otherwise have been difficult to see. Contact is faulted.
Combined this shows the evolution of magmatic intrusion, cooling, pegmatite segregation and new intrusion.
