• I was born and raised in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. 
• I earned my B. Sc. (Honours) in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario, Canada).
• I earned my M. Sc. in Astronomy at Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada).  I studied singularities in General Relativity under the supervision of Dr. Kayll Lake. 
• I earned my Ph. D. in Astronomy at Saint Mary's University (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) in October 2013.  I studied numerical implementations of feedback from active galactic nuclei under the supervision of Dr. Robert Thacker.
