I am currently working for the Victorian Bioinformatics Consortium at Monash University, Clayton. (What is Bioinformatics?)
I finally submitted my Ph.D thesis in Apr 2002. It was accepted with minor changes in Nov 2002, and the final product was submitted in Jan 2003. It is entitled Digital Image Processing using Local Segmentation. I applied Prof. Chris Wallace's Minimum Message Length principle to small image blocks to achieve a suite of low level image processing tasks. My supervisor was Dr. Peter Tischer.
