Originally from Sweden and with a degree from Lund University (exchange student at Berkeley and Uni. Strathclyde), Andy did his PhD at the EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland, followed by a postdoc at Shanghai Jiaotong University in Shanghai, China, and by another one at the University of California at Davis, CA. Since July 2011 he is a senior research fellow at Monash University and is funded by a QEII fellowship by the Australian Research Council and two Discovery Project grants.
