Shravan Acharya holds a B. Sc. from Bangalore University and an MSc from the National Institute of Technology in Karnataka, India (NITK). After spending two years as a research assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, he commenced his PhD at Monash University in January 2014.

His current research interests include the transition metal mediated activation of small molecules -- such as H2, N2 and CO2 -- by chemical and electrochemical methods as well as the study of geochemically relevant materials for carbon sequestration and activation. Most of this work is done using ambient and medium pressure multinuclear NMR techniques.

Shravan is working in joint co-supervision with Bjørn Winther-Jensen and Leone Spiccia
